Man stabbed in the back by a Fed Ex employee in Midtown

Midtown South, Manhattan- A man walking on the street was stabbed multiple times in the back by a Fed-Ex employee early this afternoon, according to officials.

Police say the incident occurred at the intersection of 33rd Street and 5th Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m.

A 22-year-old male suspect—dressed in a Fed Ex uniform— reportedly stabbed the 28-year-old male victim, who was later rushed to Bellevue Hospital with serious but not expected to be life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody at the scene, and transported by police to the Midtown South Precinct to be processed; police did not immediately state what the man was being charged with.
