Man stabbed in the back by a Fed Ex employee in Midtown

Midtown South, Manhattan- A man walking on the street was stabbed multiple times in the back by a FedEx employee early this afternoon, according to officials.

Police say the incident occurred at the intersection of 33rd Street and 5th Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m.

A 22-year-old male suspect—dressed in his FedEx uniform— reportedly stabbed the 28-year-old male victim, who was later rushed to Bellevue Hospital with serious but not expected to be life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody at the scene, and transported by police to the Midtown South Precinct to be processed. Police did not immediately state what the man was being charged with.
