Ridgewood, Queens- Police are looking for several suspects in connection with stabbings that occurred on Friday night and left three men with multiple stab wounds; two of the men were in stable condition at a nearby hospital, however the third man was pronounced dead at another hospital, according to officials.
On Friday at approximately 9:23 PM, police officers from the 104th precinct responded to an emergency call of a disorderly group near the intersection of Palmetto St. & Seneca Ave, the NYPD said.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers were directed by individuals in a crowd to go over to the front of a commercial building located at 341 Saint Nicholas Ave; there, police discovered three adult males with multiple stab wounds throughout their bodies, according to police officials.
One of the stabbing victims was 24-year-old Daniel Atkinson, of Flushing Queens; Atkinson had a stab wound to his abdomen and was transported by EMS to Wyckoff Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
Police stated a 23-year-old male—with wounds to his head and back—and a 26-year-old male—with multiple wounds throughout his body—were transported by EMS to Elmhurst General Hospital where they were later listed in stable condition; police did not immediately provide additional information about either man.
On Monday, the NYPD released a video that includes multiple security camera angles showing a large group walking back and forth in front of El Dorado Restaurant located on Myrtle Ave, near St. Nicholas Ave; officials stated that the individuals allegedly involved with the stabbing are among the group.
Police did not immediately indicate what relationship the victims had to one another or to the alleged suspects.
As of Tuesday, the events leading up to the stabbing remain unclear.
