Sunset Park fire

Sunset Park, Brooklyn-Early this morning, a fire in a residential building left two firefighters injured and displaced several people.

The fire started just before 1 AM in a four-story building at 529 56 St, according to the FDNY.

It was declared under control about an hour later.

An FDNY spokesman stated that due to the blaze, 8 people were homeless and two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Both firefighters were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition and the Red Cross was on scene to help those who lost their homes.

Officals stated the cause of the blaze is still being determined.

Fire marshalls were on scene investiagting after the flames were out.
