Midtown, Manhattan- A tenant in a luxury building and his visitor, got into an altercation during which the tenant set his pit bull on the other man. The incident occurred around 9 AM this morning. The victim received dog bites to his arms and was transported to Bellevue Hospital. Police described the tenant  as an emotionally disturbed person (EDP) and he was also transported to Bellevue due to his distressed state.

After both men were removed from the scene, officers from the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit subdued the pit bull using a taser. The animal was then moved downstairs in a crate and placed in the back of a police cruiser. An ESU member stated the dog was being bought to a veterinarian center in the city.

It is not immediately known what the dog’s eventual fate will be, or whether the men will be charged. It is also unclear right now what might have led to the altercation between the two men.
