SOHO, Manhattan- Three teens were taken into custody at the Prince Street & Broadway R train subway station after police converged on them in response to a robbery call. Around 2:30 pm a caller to 911 reported a theft at the H&M store on Broadway between Spring and Broome Street. The caller stated that a group of teen males and one female had come into the store, stolen merchandise and then fled down Broadway.

Soon after, an MTA R train conductor reported seeing a black male on the southbound tracks between Prince and Canal Streets. As a result, the southbound R train at Prince Street was held in the station. When officers from the 5th Precinct arrived at the Prince St. stop, the saw a small group of teens and immediately took them into custody.

Across the street from the subway entrance, the police placed two young males in handcuffs. Before putting them into their car for transport to the 5 Pct., officers stored several large H & M bags in the trunks of their cars.

It is unclear right now what the teens will be charged with.
